While I was at Character, We were commissioned to design packaging for Adobe’s Ink & Slide packaging. We wanted to focus on Adobe’s values of expression and creativity while designing a package that pays homage classic clam shell pen cases. Something that could relate to anyone from any age group or skill level.
We wanted to take a new twist on old tools for any aspiring artist.

01 — The Process
The team and I ideated various iterations of how to respresent classical artists tools and kits; from wraps to Montblanc pen cases, we tried to put add a little bit of modernity to a classic theme.
02 — In Print
Another facet of the design we focused on was to create a sense of surprise through contrast. The gradient, the texture and the geometric tray the pen sits in was design to evoke surprise, wonder, and excitement.
